These are the official replacement filter papers for the Still Spirits Filter Pro — the large-format paper designed specifically to polish your home-distilled spirits to a clear, clean finish. Each sheet works by mechanically straining fine particulates and haze from filtered spirit, leaving you with a noticeably cleaner result without affecting taste or aroma. Pack of 5.

Also compatible with early model Still Spirits Z Filters manufactured before June 2004. If you own one of these older units, this is the correct paper to use.

Filter Paper vs Carbon — Know the Difference

Filter paper and activated carbon serve different purposes in the finishing process. Carbon strips congeners, oils, and flavour impurities from your spirit through chemical adsorption. Filter paper is the final mechanical step — it catches carbon fines, particulates, and cloudiness after carbon treatment. Always carbon-treat first, then filter through paper second.

How to Use

For best results with the Still Spirits Filter Pro:

• Step 1 — Carbon treat: Run your spirit through the carbon filter stage first to remove impurities.
• Step 2 — Seat the filter paper: Place one large filter paper into the filter housing, ensuring it seats flat with no folds or gaps around the edges.
• Step 3 — Filter slowly: Allow spirit to pass through under gravity at a steady pace. Do not force or rush the flow.
• Step 4 — Replace as needed: Use a fresh filter paper each time. A clogged or reused paper will slow filtration and may allow particulates through.

At 5 papers per pack, you have enough for multiple batches on hand.

Good to Know

Store unused filter papers in a cool, dry location away from moisture. Damp or damaged papers may tear during use or allow particulates to bypass the filter. For the clearest results, do not skip the carbon treatment stage — filter paper alone will not remove dissolved impurities; only physical particles and haze will be removed.

If your filtration is running very slowly, the paper may be clogged with heavy sediment. In this case, discard the current paper and replace it with a fresh one rather than waiting for it to clear.
